Weekends away

We run several weekends away each year, to areas all around the UK and beyond – if you are interested in exploring places further afield of London, why not join us on one of them? We also host an annual New Year trip, for which the location changes each year.

Keep an eye on this page to find the latest details of our weekends away!

Weekends away are organised and run by members of our group and are certainly a great way of getting to know people.

Previous weekends away have explored the Scottish Highlands, the Lake District, and Wales, alongside less challenging trips to destinations within easy reach of London, with no need to take time off work – such as the Cotswolds and Dorset. We’ve also had several trips abroad – Norway, the Alps, Poland and Portugal have all featured in our weekends away programme, as have city breaks to Amsterdam, Luxembourg and Paris, to name a few!

You must be a member or associate member of the Metropolitan Walkers to attend one of our weekends away – if you like the sound of them, then go ahead and join us.

Upcoming weekends away

We can't find any upcoming weekends away right now... why don't you think about submitting one to the programme?
