How to join
You need to join the Ramblers. In the second page of the form, under the heading "Your Group", choose the Inner London area then the Metropolitan Walkers group. To receive communications from us, you need to provide your email address to Ramblers when you join (and update Ramblers if your email changes).
How to renew
If you are an existing member, you can renew your Ramblers membership online or use the paper form you will have received in the post. You will need an account on the Ramblers website in order to renew online.
We recommend that you set up a direct debit to ensure that your membership doesn't lapse and you always receive our programme!
How to obtain the programme
Once you've joined Ramblers and selected Metropolitan Walkers as your group, you should automatically get onto our mailing list and receive programmes and other communications from us. This can take a month or two, so please bear with us.
If you're an existing member and not receiving programmes or emails, please contact Ramblers at firstname.lastname@example.org or 020 7339 8595 - as usually it's due to a problem with your Ramblers membership details (eg you forgot to renew or notify of a change of e-mail, or Ramblers don't have your email address). If Ramblers have confirmed that your Ramblers membership and email address are up to date, then contact us at email@example.com, with your Ramblers membership number and expiry date.
We suggest you add the email address firstname.lastname@example.org to your address book to ensure our emails don't go to your junk folder. If your postal or email address changes, please remember to inform Ramblers at email@example.com or 020 7339 8500
If you are a member of any other Ramblers group your are welcome to become an associate member of Metropolitan Walkers for free - and enjoy all the benefits of Met Walkers membership (other than being able to vote at our AGM). To become an associate member, just e-mail us at firstname.lastname@example.org specifying your name, e-mail address, Ramblers membership number, expiry date and your Ramblers 'home' group.
Likewise, members of Met Walkers are welcome to walk with any other Ramblers group in the country.
